Wilson Inlet Management Advisory Group (WIMAG) The Wilson Inlet Management Advisory Group (WIMAG) provided a forum for discussing issues in relation to the Inlet and provided an avenue for community input into local authority and other government department proposals and decisions.The group concluded in December 2011 after achieving many of its orginal key objectives. Over the years WIMAG was committed to promoting sustainable management of the inlet by encouraging a balanced approached to ensure that environmental, social, cultural and economic needs are considered. WIMAG was an advisory group comprised of a range of views and opinions by differing agencies. As such recommendations or advice by the group rightly reflected a range of views put forward by members.
